While the children's parade took place in continuous rain on Sunday, the procession of the guilds and the celebration on Sechseläutenplatz were accompanied by sunshine on Monday.

The forecasts for the coming summer were less favourable. The head of the Böög only exploded after 57 minutes, which is a record and predicts a rainy summer.

However, according to experience, the forecasts by the Böög are rarely accurate, which may reassure the sun-hungry. Why it took so long for the Böög to go up in flames

is quickly explained: according to Grün Stadt Zürich, the wood pile was damp and, for reasons of environmental protection and safety, it was decided not to use lighting fluid afterwards.
