More than 150,000 festive visitors from Switzerland and abroad attend the big New Year’s Eve party in Zurich every year and celebrate the turn of the year together. The highlight of New Year’s Eve is the impressive fireworks display at Casino Zurich. Exciting food stalls, bars and music create a festive atmosphere around the lake basin. Those who want to celebrate exclusively, with an unobstructed view of the fireworks and in a heated party tent, can get a ticket for the Magic Lake Zone or the Guest Tent.
The New Year’s Eve Magic is an open folk festival, no admission is required.
Da steht er, der Ausserrhoder-Böögg, und meint: ich lasse mich doch nicht von den Zürchern anzünden! Die Zürcher finden das „ausserrhodentlich“. Es zeichnet sich ab, dass der Böögg in den Gastkanton Appenzell Ausserrhoden reisen wird, um dort verbrannt zu werden.
Das Zürcher Epizentrum der Adventszeit liegt unumstritten in unserem schönen Quartier. Am Donnerstag, 23. November 2023 öffnete das festliche und schmucke Wienachtsdorf auf dem Sechseläutenplatz seine Pforten. Bei besten Witterungsbedingungen fand das Spektakel bereits am ersten Tag einen grossen Zulauf an Gästen.
