Ballet for all! On Saturday evening, the recording of Christian Spuck's interpretation of the Verdi Requiem will flicker across the big screen. In touching, highly poetic images, Ballett Zürich deals with fundamental human emotions and focuses on the vulnerable, helpless human being in search of consolation.

As the highlight of the weekend, the premiere of Richard Strauss’ “Salome” will be broadcast live on Sechseläutenplatz on Sunday and streamed worldwide. First performed in 1905, the opera tells of erotic dances and severed heads – no wonder it is still one of his most popular works today!

The gates to Sechseläutenplatz open at 4.30 pm. On Saturday, from 6 p.m., you can shake a leg with the ballet company as part of training für alle and tanz für alle. Gülsha Adilji will accompany the pre-programme and introduce the dancers in conversation. On Sunday, Kurt Aeschbacher will lead a live backstage tour from 6 pm, talk to the artists and give an introduction to the piece. The performance begins at 7 pm.
